How could I forget?!? We have crawling!!

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot that one... Last week, to celebrate her 8 month birthday, Maddyn decided to pop up on her knees and start crawling!!! She pulls herself up to a standing position, can go from laying to sitting up, and now crawls. This girl is gonna give us a run for our money! LOL Dave and I have to get our butts moving and baby-proof the house!. Actually, we're pretty much done, except for the gates. We are going to try to get those done this weekend. I will upload video soon!

Ariel sent me some of her photos from my 30th party... ok, about 300 ;) and I posted them in the shutterfly collection. She captured some great shots of the little ones!!! Take a look!!

I am currently trying to edit all of my photos from all of the things we've had going on this month. It's crazy. I'm trying to do a few each night. So keep checking back. Here are just a few teasers from this weekend. They make me smile, b/c they really capture Ry and Maddyn at their best ;) The two are quite the pair. They completely instigate each other.

30 is just a number!!

I turned the big 30 on August 6th!! What a fun birthday. We had a few celebrations and even had a party last weekend. It was loads of fun. In honor of getting "older" and hitting another milestone, we rented a big Bounce House/Moonwalk. What a blast!! I'm not sure who loved it more, the kids or the adults :)



Dave took Maddyn in it too and she loved it. I think we have a little adrenaline junkie on our hands like her daddy!!!




As a birthday gift to me, Maddyn officially decided to start scooting in massive lengths. This means starting at one end of the room and going to the other. She wasn't popping up on her knees at that point.


Sadly, on my birthday, Dave's grandmother passed away. It was his last living grandparent, his mom's mom. We went out to Ohio for the services last Sunday and Monday. She had Alzheimer's in her later years, but we have wonderful memories of "Grandma".


When we got back, Maddyn decided it was time to give up scooting and go straight for crawling. So we will be putting up the gates soon!! We had a busy weekend and didn't get a chance. And next weekend is just as nuts! Unfortunately, there's no slowing her down,LOL.


Lots and lots of pictures to post from my 30th bday party, my cousin's son's baptism, some friend GTGs, Marty's Luau, and we have another party next weekend. So I'll try to get them all posted this week throughout the week. So keep checking back!!! :)

Vacation!!!

Dave and I took time off and headed to Vegas for a few days. It was a "celebrate my 30th bday a little early" kind of trip. Mom watched Maddyn and off we went.

The weather was warm, but no humidity- so it wasn't bad!! We both got nice tans and just had a blast. It was fun to spend "couple" time together again. We were able to go to my favorite Vegas Bar (the Bar at Times Square- dualing pianos) and catch a Cirque de Soliel show. We had terrific dinners and just a really fun time!!

The only down side was that my luggage got broken into on the way out to Vegas and all of my jewelry was stolen. :( As you can imagine, TSA takes no responsibility. Go figure.

Sadly, I only grabbed three photos, and 2 of them look the same, LOL

Maddyn had fun at "gram's" seeing Great Grandma, all of her aunts and uncles and just hanging out. But when she came home, it was obvious who she missed most-- Rylee!! LOL Go figure!!

We're enjoying this weekend before I head back to work. We had/have a few GTGs with some friends and it's just been a great week!!

I turn the big 30 on Wednesday- so more to come later this week!!

1st trip to Minnesota

My blog updates are long overdue, I apologize!!!

July 10th- 13th we took Maddyn up to Minnesota for the first time. We were able to stay with Megan and Andy the first two nights up in Becker. First, their new home is amazing!! Second, Megan is the cutest pregnant person!!! I took some photos and posted in the album.

Before we headed back down to New Ulm, we were able to do brunch with Jess, John, Taylor and Keaton. OMG, they are the cutest kids ever!!! Taylor is so grown up now, I can't believe how big she's gotten! And Keaton is the funniest!

Then we headed down to NU to stay at Mary and Dan's house, and see them and Em, Luke and Henry!! Henry is the happiest most handsome baby boy!! What a cutie pie- he really looks like Em so much!

We had such a good time hanging out, despite the crazy storms, bad winds and weird weather. It was fun times and I miss it so much back there. Hopefully we can do it again soon!!!!
