9 month "pro" photos are up!

I finally finished her 9 month "professional" photos. I have posted them to the Shutterfly album (link to the right). I had a blast shooting them!!! If only she wasn't so mobile ;) LOL. Now that she's walking more, I'm sure the 12 month ones are going to be even crazier!!!

OMG-- We have WALKING!!!

I'm all willynilly ;) Excited, but I know what this means... it means we're in trouble, LOL
Maddyn took her first unaided set of steps tonight. Twice. Of course, when I went to grab video of it, she would have nothing to do with walking. But Dave, Jared and Amanda and I all got to see her do it.

The Funniest part- she did her "TOUCHDOWN" hands after she did it, b/c we were all cheering so hard for her. And she knows that usually means "Touchdown". It was hilarious!!!

I'll try to get some video tomorrow night to post!!!

10 months, 9 teeth and counting

Maddyn woke up this morning and rang in her 10 month birthday with her 9th tooth! It looks like #10 might be here in a day or two, b/c her gum is bright white. That gives her 6 teeth on top and 3 on bottom. The funny part is that you can now start to see her teeth when she smiles- it's so cute!! It's just different then we are used to!

Mark your calendars for December 13th. That will be Maddyn's Winter One-derland! We'll be ringing in Maddyn's birthday a little early, since it's so close to Christmas! It's so hard to believe she'll be one already!!

We have some fun family things coming up. Next weekend we have a visit to the Pumpkin Patch with friends. The following weekend we have Halloween- and three different parties to go to. I'm excited to show you all Maddyn's costume. She'll be a bumble bee this year. I wanted Rylee to be a flower, but Dave won't let me ;) Then we have our Family photos, a few birthday parties, and then Thanksgiving. Should be fun!

We did decide to go ahead and finish the basement. The project started Friday and as of Saturday night, the framing is about 90% finished. They are doing great. Dave and Jared are going to try to do a ton of the work themselves, but are getting help from our builders. Pretty exciting! It will be nice to have the big rec room for Maddyn to play in :)

I'm almost done with the 9 month photos- I know, I keep saying that. But we had the "family flu" this week and it was hard to get them done with one of us being sick any given day this week. I'll post and send soon!

I'm also going to attach video clips of her doing her new favorite thing: "Touchdown!" Anytime we say Touchdown she throws her arms up in the Touchdown sign!!! She is obviously her mommy and daddy's little girl, and true to her namesake :) Since I've finally uploaded videos, I'll also throw another of my favorite recent clips: Her playing with Dave (LOVE the laugh).

U guessed it- MORE teeth!

Yes, this is crazy! It appears Maddyn cut her some of her Molars this last week. It's nuts. I felt something sharp back there, but she refuses to open wide to let us see. But we know something is back there- we can't tell what position, lol. The girl has lots of teeth.

We have had a crazy couple of weeks. The schedule has been nuts from reflooring our powder room to traveling to Habitat for Humanity to book close to taking classes. But this last weekend I was able to spend some time at the Zoo with Maddyn and that was fun. This weekend we got to go to a picnic with all kinds of our friends and then Sunday, we had to run a bunch of errands to keep up. It's been crazy! Here are just a few photos- but of course, all the 'better ones' are on the Shutterfly site (to the right).

Also- I threw in some funny photos of her and Rylee. I grabbed them when I was shooting Maddyn's 9 month photos, and they just cracked me up. Maddyn was getting fussy, so we gave her some puffs. Thing is, RYLEE loves puffs. So she kept trying to get in there and steal the puffs away from Maddyn. It was pretty cute.

I am tweaking the 0 month photos now, so I hope to have them ready to share next week!!

I also have video of Maddyn to upload. She LOVES Grandma's piano. I have video of her dancing, kind of funny!

9 Months Old & 6 teeth

Hey everyone!
Sorry for the lack of updates. Have been traveling for work the last 3 weeks, so haven't been able to post much. Have quite a few updates though!!

Maddyn now has 6 teeth- yes, you read that right...Tooth #5 and #6 both came before her "9 month birthday". It's crazy!!! She now has all 4 top front teeth and her bottom two. The doctor says it looks like she's starting to cut her 12 month molars too, since her gums are so swollen. A mouth full of teeth so early... yikes - let's hope that doesn't mean lots of braces! Ouch!

She's still crawling, standing, walking while holding on to things, and babbling up a storm. It's amazing how "grown up" she seems. She doesn't feel like a baby any more, that's for sure. :(
She is doing better at eating now. We're still on a 100% organic diet, but she is doing table foods (pancakes, pastas, fruits/veggies all crumbled up and Stage 3 jar foods) and it is going a little better.
We had her 9 month appt last week and she is still off the charts.

Height 30.75 inches
Otherwise, her appt went well and she's doing great!!

I took her 9 month "pro" photos last weekend, but have to upload and edit them. So I should have them in about two weeks. In the meantime, I have lots and lots of photos I loaded onto Shutterfly for you to take a look at!!! Here's just a teaser:

Dave's Birthday and more

I've just finished uploading more photos from Dave's birthday and other gtg's we've had lately. I'm finally caught up on photos! I just have to finish the ones from my 30th birthday party now.

No Way! Another tooth!

I know the doc said they'd come quickly, but wow. We got another top tooth in last night. That's a total of 4 teeth and she's not even 9 months yet! The odd thing, is that her two top teeth are not the two middle ones!! I hope that is not a bad sign, lol.
