Maddyn's new favorite song is "All the Single Ladies" by Beyonce. Of course, we make it more G-rated and call it "All the Single Babies" lol

Warning, I suck at videotaping and the mic is right by my mouth. So turn the volume low enough to where you can still hear Maddyn at the minimum- cuz my voice is really loud (Imagine that ;) So sorry!!

Maddyn dancing. I didn't get a great video- I need to. But she is a crazy happy dancer. LOVES it. She bounces up and down and all over. I grabbed my video camera at the end when she got tired, next time I'll have to grab it right away!

Maddyn likes to fake nap. You lay out a blanket and tell her it's naptime and she lies down for a few seconds and pretends to sleep. It's pretty cute:

So much to share!! I'll start with a talking update. January was a breakout month for Maddyn, as she started speaking her first words!! We are now up to 11 words- it's crazy how it's coming along.

Her first word was Rylee. I had to laugh!! She cracks me up, and she loves saying it. It started more like "Ry-wee" but has progressed better. Other words we've logged:

-uh-oh (This one is SO cute, b/c she pauses b/t uh and oh and drags out the oh)

Jared is a little bummed that she's having a hard time with his name. So Dave has been trying to get her to say "dum dum" as a substitute. It's getting ugly, lol!!!

We got Maddyn's flower girl dress for the wedding. It's super cute. It's the one on the left below, but it will be white, with a navy sash and a big navy bow on back. So cute!

I uploaded all kids of snow photos from January to the Shutterfly album, take a look. Dad came up with Grandpa's snowmobile and we took Maddyn out. It was super fun, she loved her sled. Here's one of my favorite photos from the day:

1st Brrr-thday Party

It was 'snow' much fun! I've finally posted Maddyn's first brrr-thday party photos on the Shutterfly Album! I highly recommend doing a Winter One-derland theme if you have a winter baby. There are so many easy and cheap ideas, and everyone really seemed to enjoy my little quips. In short, here's how the party played out:

1 Year Stats

I'm uploading loads and loads of photos now- so expect to see the Birthday photos by tomorrow!!

In the meantime, we had Maddyn's 1 year doctor's appointment. Her 1 year stats are below. She's continuing to prove to her mommy that she is more like daddy every day- nice and tall :) But her weight is tapering off a little for now too.

Height: 32.25 in (99th percentile)
Weight: 24lb 10 oz (90th percentile)

Maddyn's 2nd Christmas

I'm really behind on updates and photos- but I'm trying to get them all done while I'm still on vacation. So, hopefully in the next day or two.

First up, is Christmas! I uploaded all kinds of photos to the Shutterfly album (link to the right), but just picked a few good ones for below. Maddyn loved it all! She had been very sick, and was diagnosed with RSV right before Christmas. So we ended up having to keep her in and celebrate at home. All the Grandmas and Grandpas came to visit her, since she wasn't able to go to the family celebrations.

She loved it. Maddy was obviously a good girl this year, because she got many great gifts. It's funny, b/c with her birthday and Christmas so close, we went from hardly any toys to lots of toys. So we are not opening everything right away - we are planning on staggering the opening of them and do a few every couple of months.

Hopefully everyone had a great Christmas. I know it went by so fast. I'm going to be working on her Birthday Party pictures here tomorrow, and will post those soon!

We also have Maddyn's 1 year doctor's appointment, so I'll post those stats as well.

Maddyn is one!!!!!

I can' t believe it's been a year. Wow. Time really does fly. Our little girl is one today!

I have tons of photos to upload from last weekend's party. I was traveling this week so I haven't had a chance to upload them all yet. I will try to tomorrow, and post this weekend at the latest.

For those that couldn't make it- it was a great time. We celebrated in a winter 'one' derland and Maddyn was smiling ear to ear most of the day! Speical kudos go to Dave and Jared for getting the basement done on time- we had over 60 people at the party and having the basement done was a HUGE help!

I wish I could say we had some big exciting plans for Maddyn's birthday today, but unforunately she's very sick. She got RSV and we've been to the doctors' and just trying to keep her calm and comfortable. Poor thing has a fever of around 105.
