Dave was in North Carolina this week for work. I was with Ry. Well, this am she came to see me in bed, and jumped very hard on the bed, landing directly on my ovaries. All 50+ lbs of her, and right in the worst spot.
It knocked the wind out of me. I couldn't even sit up, it stabbed so bad. My pain was shooting in that area, and it hurt like hell. I though it would go away, so tried to just walk it out. It kept getting worse and started throbbing.
I went to work, but was in tears it was so bad. I called the doc, and the nurse told me to get to the ER right away. Any trauma to your abdomen when you are pregnant, you should be seen immediately. So I told Carie, and she drove me to CDH. Dave was just landing from NC, and was going to come as soon as he could get his luggage, car, and get there.
We get there and I was there all day...7 hours I think. The pain kept getting worse and worse, and it felt like it was throbbing/pulsing as well. I went to give a urine sample and was bleeding, so I immediately had a panic attack. The next hours were a blur..lots of ultrasounds and "not sure" discussions....but in the end, the final ultrasound proved that the baby was fine. Thank goodness!! And he gave me an EDD of 12/12. (lol, every doc gives a different date).
The doc said that the abdominal muscles are strained, which could cause the bleeding I had...and that I'll be strained and bruised (already bruised a nice greenish-yellow-brown :( Now it's just rest rest rest until my body heals. The good news is that the baby is measuring perfect at 9 weeks 1 day, and it's heart rate was 160. Dave was able to see the ultrasound later in the day, and was very giddy.
I'm so lucky that our little football is ok, but still recovering from the scare. It was soooo much- it drained me. I'm mentally drained, and very physically drained. And the only thing I can take is Tylenol...which is not working.
But even still I just feel so darn blessed that everything is ok.
